Townsend Detachment held a grave registration event at a local Walmart Store. Detach members met local area residents and solicited grave / cemetery site locations for honoring veterans on Memorial Day Weekend. Townsend Detachment has flagged Veterans graves for many years, currently we are flagging 7 local area cemeteries in the Greater River Region. Saturday’s event raised sufficient funds to pay for all the flags to be placed this year. Job “Well Done” to Project Officer Chuck Moore and his band of merry HELMET HOLDERS.
