CHURCHILL, Robert Mason, 60, a resident of Montgomery, AL, died peacefully on Monday, August 13, 2007.
Bob, as he was known to everyone, was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a teacher and Athletic Director at the Taylor Road Academy for the last 4 years. Bob taught school inFairfax County, Virginia for 8 years. He was a Vietnam Veteran who was honorably discharged after 21 years served in the United States Marine Corps. Bob loved to coach, he coached competitive soccer teams for the last 18 years.
He is survived by his loving wife Judie Churchill, his daughter Amy Churchill Cardona and her husband Chris Cardona of Chesapeake, VA; his daughter Sarah Churchill Strickland and her husband Jimmy Strickland of Birmingham, AL; his son Robert (Doug) Douglas Churchill of Charlotte, NC; his daughter Emily Churchill Barber and her husband Allan Barber of Montgomery, AL; his granddaughters Kelsey Strickland and Alivia Cardona; and his grandsons Robert (Bo) Strickland, Evan Cardona, and William (Will) Strickland.
A funeral service will be held at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church on Friday, August 17, 2007 at 11:30 am. The family will receive friends from 10-11:30am.
