  • United States Marine Corp's Birth Day

    November 10, 2025  12:00 am – 11:59 pm

    Theofficial birthday of the United States Marine Corps is on 10 November 1775.That was the day when the Second Continental Congress established theContinental Marines with the following decree:

    That two battalions of Marines beraised consisting of one Colonel, two lieutenant-colonels, two majors and otherofficers, as usual in other regiments; that they consist of an equal number ofprivates as with other battalions, that particular care be taken that nopersons be appointed to offices, or enlisted into said battalions, but such asare good seamen, or so acquainted with maritime affairs as to be able to servefor and during the present war with Great Britain and the Colonies; unlessdismissed by Congress; that they be distinguished by the names of the First andSecond Battalions of Marines.

    TunTavern, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is regarded as the birthplace of theCorps as the location of the first Marines to enlist under Commandant SamuelNicholas

About Us

We are a brotherhood of Marines, Navy FMF Corpsmen, and Veterans serving fellow Marines, Veterans, and our community. Come join us as we grow and continue the traditions and values of the Corps.

Our meetings are held on the 3rd Saturday of every month at 0830 hours, at American Legion HQ., 120 N. Jackson St., Montgomery, AL 36104.
