LAWTON, John F., 80, aresident of Montgomery,passed away on Monday, June 14, 2010. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Carolyn Lawton of Montgomery; his parents, Dorothy and Frank Lawton anda brother, Richard Lawton allof Connecticut.
He is survived by his sister, Elizabeth Trani; a cousin, Annabelle Caruso, nieces, Annmarie Thibodeau, Sharon Howes and Linda O’Connell; nephews, Anthony Trani and Scott Lawton all of Connecticut;stepchildren, Michael D.McGough of Montgomery,AL, Linda Kimberly Arias of Gadsden, AL and Karon Jill Smith of Prattville.
Mr. Lawton was retired from the United States Marines after serving for 20 years and in the Korean War and in Vietnam and was a member of The Marine Corps League.
