Our meetings are held on the 3rd Monday of every month at 1700 hours, at Fried Tomato Buffet, 6561 Atlanta Hwy, Montgomery, AL 36117.
Welcome to the Townsend Detachment of the Marine Corps League. We normally meet on the third Monday evening each month. We do not always meet in June (because we attend the Department of Alabama MCL Convention instead), nor in December when we have a Chrismas Party instead of a business meeting.
Since resuming face-to-face meetings after relaxation of COVID-19 restrictions, we have added a Zoom component to our meetings so members unable to attend or those who are not comfortable with face-to-face meetings can participate via Zoom. If you wish to attend by Zoom, email Chuck Moore ([email protected]) and he will send you an invitation with proper meeting ID and PW. We would welcome members and Marines to join us in person at Fried Tomato Buffet on third Mondays when we meet. See Upcoming Events for more information.
Our members are primarily located in the south central area of Alabama, in and around the Capital City, Montgomery. Please see our Events page for specific dates and times. Additional information about the Detachment can be found off the Menu tabs above or by contacting one of our Officers or Staff members.
Thank you for visiting our site.
